PTW group proposed

Expressions of interest in establishing a Victorian Electricity Generators PTW Group are being sought.

The group would be based on a Queensland model and would provide significant benefits for experts in the Permit to Work field, particularly with the growing need for contractors to work across various sites.

Developing a Victorian Electricity Generators PTW Group would allow members to develop a code of practice aimed at improving safety performances and saving on training costs. With the increased practice of contractors working across multiple sites, a PTW Group will be able to address common areas of concern and develop procedures which will be beneficial to all involved. 

Sage Technology and Loy Yang Power are investigating a partnership arrangement to facilitate the proposed PTW Group.
