PAS Development Team Grows

Sage Technology has expanded its PAS development team with the addition of developers, Ben Jackson and Paul Chalmers.

Ben brings a wealth of industry experience, particularly in the support and product development areas. In recent years he prepared a system test plan for an ASP.Net project to manage wharf security at the Port of Melbourne, and was involved in the development of an integration solution to assist in the incorporation of newly-acquired businesses into Fosters Brewery.

Ben’s impressive IT skill set includes Access, Excel, Word, ADP, ASP, MFC and Visual C++, Oracle, T-SQL and SQL Server, Visual Source Safe, OOP and N-Tier applications, Crystal Reports and a range of programming languages.

Paul Chalmers also brings a valuable skill set to the team, having spent more than nine of the past 11 years using Delphi. He was also involved in the development of Oracle development tools used at Sage Technology.

His career in IT has seen him involved in the development of software for veterinary practices and a project to install Metcard-style ticketing for Sydney’s ferries. Paul was most recently employed as a contractor in the pathology medical billing market based at Gippsland Pathology and supporting their system and network.

“With more and more organisations adopting PAS as their permit to work solution, we must be continually developing PAS to ensure that it meets their needs,” Peter said, “PAS was built to meet world’s best practice and Sage is committed to ensuring that it continues to meet those high standards.”

Ben Jackson , right, is welcomed to the PAS development team by original developer, Mick Board.

Paul Chalmers has also joined the PAS development team at Sage Technology.
