PAS website delivers more
The Permit Administration System website is rapidly developing into a valuable resource for personnel with a responsibility for OHS matters.
The site at www.permitsystem.com now has a comprehensive resource directory with links to key occupational health and safety websites.
The resource directory makes it easier for people with an interest in or responsibility for OHS issues to stay informed of trends in the field, including legislative changes. The WorkplaceOHS link takes readers to an additional source of daily news about OHS matters in Australia, while the link to Health and Safety Executive is a valuable tool for staying in touch with similar issues in the UK.
Another addition to the PAS site is the FAQ page which answers many of the questions that come up regularly about electronic permit to work systems and PAS. FAQs are sorted into four key areas covering product, safety, finances and technology.
A downloadable overview brochure which details the key risk areas addressed by PAS as well as the key benefits of PAS, and a lockout/tagout page have been added, while work is underway on a glossary of permit to work terminology.
Future plans include an RSS news feed with current stories of interest to the OHS sector and a discussion board to enable OHS professionals to share ideas, concerns and discuss sector developments. A special, secure section of the discussion board will be created for PAS users to share tips, talk about their experiences with PAS and to brainstorm upgrade options for the Permit Administration System.
The PAS website is often a first port of call for organisations investigating their permit to work system options. The latest updates and future plans for the website give a clearer picture of the performance and benefits of PAS, as well as providing new and relevant information about OHS issues.
